Take the story of Sharon Hamilton as the perfect example of what it’s like to finally live the dream life not many have expected her to pursue. Selling real estate and selling books are two different things, but there are similarities in how she achieved success.
[00:09:09] Sharon Hamilton didn’t start writing novels until she was 60. Now, she is in her happiest and highest element doing what she loves. “I asked, when’s a good time to start to give in to that part of me? That’s calling me? My house burned down; I was in a lawsuit — it’s like God is holding up these billboards, saying, ‘Sharon, it’s time to change.’ And so when I finally got it, I never went back. I don’t make as much money as real estate, but I enjoy it ten times more.”
[00:13:31] Writing romance novels and heroes is what Sharon gives her readers something in their heart to believe in. “Because I write a lot of Navy SEAL romances, I received letters from women who have lost a husband, mothers who had their sons injured or died in training accidents or wars. They tell me how much the books meant to them in those heartfelt letters. And now, I’m writing for them.”

[00:32:49] Writing copy is not emotional like a poem, novel or movie script. But one thing is for sure — you need words that touch and move if you want to connect effectively with your audience.
Sharon Hamilton is a NYT and USAToday bestselling author most known for her SEAL Brotherhood series. that have earned her author rankings of #1 in Romantic Suspense, Military Romance and Contemporary Romance. Her other Brotherhood stand-alone series are: Bad Boys of SEAL Team 3, Band of Bachelors, True Blue SEALs, Nashville SEALs, Bone Frog Brotherhood, Sunset SEALs, Bone Frog Bachelor Series and SEAL Brotherhood Legacy Series. She is a contributing author to the very popular Shadow SEALs multi-author series. Her SEALs and former SEALs have invested in two wineries, a lavender farm and a brewery in Sonoma County, which have become part of the new stories.
